Burnout and chronic stress support in Nashville
Burnout does not usually announce itself. It creeps in as a long stretch of doing too much, until rest stops working and the things you used to enjoy feel like one more task.
By the time people call us, they are often still functioning on the outside. Work gets done. Kids get where they need to be. Inside, everything costs far more effort than it used to.

Does any of this sound familiar?
- You wake up tired no matter how long you slept
- You snap at people you love and feel awful afterwards
- Weekends do not touch the exhaustion
- You have lost interest in things that used to matter
- You get sick more often than you used to
- You feel numb rather than upset
I did not realize how long I had been white knuckling it until I stopped. My family noticed before I did.

Why it happens
What is going on underneath
A nervous system that has been on high alert for months stops moving smoothly between effort and recovery. It gets stuck somewhere in the middle, which is why rest stops feeling restorative.
That stuck pattern is physical, not a character flaw. Telling yourself to relax rarely reaches it.
Our sessions work at that level, supporting the brain to move back into a more flexible rhythm so recovery becomes possible again.
How we support you
Our approach to stress and burnout
Nothing here relies on willpower, homework or reliving anything difficult.
Support for the recovery switch
LENS encourages the brain to shift out of rigid, overworked patterns, which many clients experience as being able to properly stop for the first time in a long while.
Short visits that fit a full life
Sessions typically run 10 to 20 minutes including set up. People come on a lunch break or between school runs.
The Wellness Hour for full body reset
Some clients pair LENS with our one hour restorative circuit of red light, oxygen, salt, gentle vibration and massage.
What a typical plan looks like
We start with a free consultation so we can hear what your last year has looked like. From there we suggest a short series, usually up to 12 sessions, and check in on how your energy and sleep are responding.
Questions people ask
Stress and burnout, answered honestly
- Is burnout really something you can help with?
- We support the nervous system patterns that keep people stuck in exhaustion. We are not a substitute for medical care, and if something else needs ruling out we will say so.
- How often would I come in?
- Most people start with one session per week. Because the visits are short, they tend to fit around work rather than adding to the load.
- What if I cry or feel emotional?
- That is welcome here. Your practitioner will sit with you, and nobody will rush you out the door.
